OBJECTIVES

Discussion of achievements and plans for sustainability of the State nuclear materials control and accounting (NMC&A) system under the rapidly expanding environment of the nuclear power and industrial complex in Russia and global partnership in the field of nuclear power.

The seminar program envisages:

? plenary sessions;

? poster presentations;

? technical exhibition;

? tour of the RMTC laboratories and World’s First NPP.

CORE TOPIC AREAS

1. Achievements and future challenges in upgrading the State NMC&A system infrastructure (regulation, training, education).

2. Achievements and future challenges in upgrading the facility NMC&A systems.

3. Achievements and future challenges of the Rostechnadzor overview and Rosatom control of the NMC&A system

4.   Interaction between the Russian State NMC&A system and the IAEA international safeguards system

LANGUAGE

Russian and English are official languages of the Seminar. Simultaneous translation will be provided for all the presentations.

 

PAPERS

Abstracts of papers (maximum 500 words) and registration forms should be submitted to the Program Committee before September 15, 2013.

The front page is to contain: paper title, authors’ names and organizations.  Abstracts and presentations should be e-mailed as attachments in the MS Word format.  The accepted abstract will be published in the Book of Abstracts. The complete texts of papers should be no more than 8 pages of A4 format.  The complete text of papers will be compiled and available at the web-page: http://rmtc.obninsk.ru after the Seminar.  Presentations of all foreign participants will be placed in the plenary sessions.

VENUE

The Seminar will be held in Obninsk (100 km south-west of Moscow).  The venue for the Seminar will be the SSC RF IPPE guest-house.  Accommodations for the Seminar participants will also be provided at the IPPE guest-house.

HOW TO GET TO THE PLACE OF DISTINATION

The Organizing Committee will arrange (on request) transportation of international participants from/to Sheremetyevo-2, Vnukovo and Domodedovo International Airports or from/to hotels in Moscow.  In order to provide this service, the Organizing Committee needs information about the arrival and departure dates, times, flight numbers and/ or hotel names two weeks before the Seminar.
